Qubique Review
Last month, we exhibited at Qubique, the Next Generation Trade Show, located in the decommissioned Berlin Tempelhof Airport. The event, which showcases furniture and design objects, made it's debut this year and welcomed over 15,000 guests. We had a fantastic time meeting everyone and are grateful for the welcome reception we received from visitors. A selection of the latest products from our seven designer-led brands was on display, many seen in Germany for the first time.

Listening to the Light
Leif.designpark has just released the above film capturing the Listening to the Light art installation created with LS, and presented at Tramshed 2011 during London Design Festival. Incandescent bulbs express in detail the complexity of the musical composition, providing a deeper understanding of what is heard by engaging two senses at once. Filmed by Juriaan Booij. Made by Britain
Matthew Hilton's Windsor Chairs have been nominated by Tessa Jowell MP for the Made in Britain initiative. Inspired by the Great Exhibition of 1851, Vince Cable launched the campaign to highlight the best of British design and manufacture. Jowell writes, ‘…a brilliant collection. I am proud to have such a pioneering designer in my constituency.’

Light Extending Table
The Light Extending Table is one of Matthew Hilton's most iconic products. It is a triumph of luxury, engineering and performance, and is an excellent example of the challenges Hilton sets for himself, as well as his remarkable ability to rise to -and even exceed-those challenges. Three years in development, this solid wood extending table has an impossibly light form with ‘kick-out legs that seem to defy the laws of physics’ (FT How to Spend It).
