London Design Festival Review
Tramshed 2011
We had a fantastic time at London Design Festival this year, launching over 20 new products from seven designer-led brands including Autoban, Studioilse, Matthew Hilton, Leif.designpark, Charlene Mullen and two brands new to the roster, Soren Rose Studio and Benjamin Hubert. The sheer volume of fantastic output from all of the brands prevents us from listing everything here, but do follow the links below for imagery and information on all of the launches.

The Living Room
Just a short walk from Tramshed 2011 was The Living Room, a small, carefully curated exhibition of products, furniture and printed works that were designed and made in Britain. The
gallery was transformed into a typical British living room, showing the products in their element thus highlighting their function. Matthew Hilton's Kimble Windsor Chair was included in the exhibition alongside work by SCP, Established & Sons, Benchmark and more.

Library's Aula Magna in Bucharest, one of the city's most sumptuous
historical buildings. He discussed his design
vision, sources of inspiration, his love for photography or his strong

Intro Design and Constantin Goagea from Zeppelin, spiced with questions from

Matthew Hilton Photography
Matthew Hilton has just released new lifestyle imagery of his products, this time shot in a residence in Brighton, England. Hilton is the official photographer for his eponymous brand, extending his creative vision to the two dimensional representation of his furniture. Whether shooting on location in the De La Espada factory, the Customs House in Porto, or a residence in Brighton, Hilton always works with contrasting textures, light and sharpness to create visually engaging images that leave room for interpretation. ‘I do not want to prescribe the way my furniture is seen. The locations I choose show a sense of domesticity but also a very strong aesthetic which hopefully allows freer interpretation.’
